****Precautions ***
Taking basil oils or extracts along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding. Some medications that slow blood clotting include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin).
*Basil can also lower blood pressure to ensure you monitor this if you are on high blood pressure medications.
Also should be avoided if you are;
*Type 2 Diabetic
*Hypothyroidism
*Pregant, breast feeding or attempting to get pregnant
