Tumeric root may increase the risk of bleeding and may interact with certain medications that can increase this risk, including: acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) anticoagulant medications (e.g., warfarin, heparin) anti-platelet medications (e.g., clopidogrel). Will slow clotting.

Persons taking stomach acid reducers should not consume tumeric root. Persons will a history of gallstones should also not consume tumeric root in large quantities.

 

Black Pepper 

Piperine, a chemical in black pepper, might slow blood clotting. Taking black pepper in amounts greater than those in food might increase the risk of bleeding in people with bleeding disorders. Please check with your healthcare provider
